Your data
Delete your Tripodia account
In the app
- Open Tripodia and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Go to Profile and open Personal Information.
- Tap Delete My Account and confirm. You may be asked to sign in again first.
Without the app
Email support@tripodia.app from the email address linked to your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. If you signed in with Apple using a private relay address, tell us and we will help you confirm the account. We delete accounts within 30 days and email you when it is done.
Cancel your subscription first
A subscription bought earlier on our website is cancelled automatically when you delete your account. A subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play is not — cancel it in your store settings:
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Tripodia → Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Tripodia → Cancel.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in and account details (name, email address).
- Your profile, username, profile photo, interests and settings.
- Your check-ins, ratings, traveler character, saved and dismissed places, routes, personal places, travel journal and posters.
- Your place reports and the messages you sent to support.
- Place suggestions and photo questions that were not approved, with their photos.
What is kept
- Contributions that were approved for public places, such as a suggested place or an identified object with its photo, may stay on the map without your name.
- Photos you added to a public place. They are not linked to your account; email us if you want one removed.
- Purchase records we must keep for tax and accounting law, for as long as that law requires.
- Server logs and crash reports, which expire on their own within 30 and 90 days.
- Backup copies, which are overwritten within 30 days.
Stories and narrations of places are not personal data and stay available to everyone. For more detail, see our Privacy Policy.
